Sour Sunday

They were sitting on a bench and their usual behaviour: noisy, everybody talks at once, arguing and laughing. They always sat on this bench to do their group assignments. And in the midst of all this madness this group had, they always finished their assignments and on time. They argued their way from coming up with a topic for their assignment, in case they were given a theme to arguing even about printing. They always met during the week and on weekends nobody was available even if the assignment was unfinished and had to be submitted on Monday. They always figured out a way to finish it on time. Now there was just this one assignment that was refusing to end, they argued about everything and anything. It was just not ending and the submission date was nearing. They decided for once to meet on a Sunday. The majority of the group were Christians and therefore spent their Sundays at church. There was obviously quarrels but they decided to sacrifice their church time to finish the assignment. Some group members did not pitch, they had to be at church, Sunday was not working for them. They sat on that bench and discussed what was missing and what needed to be done. The bench was nearby classes in which other churches used them for their services. Churches are different, some play instruments and some don’t. Almost every single group went to the one where no instruments are played. She was there in the group and she went in that church that plays instruments. The other group members thought those instruments were just a distraction and a lot of noise. The pastor was preaching and of course on the mike and whenever he preached they stopped and looked at the wall of the class as if they see him. They stopped doing the assignment and started mocking the church, the pastor and the church members. It was not her actual church but it was the same church as hers. ” Stop”, she said. “Being the youngest in the group I think I more mature than this”. The others looked at her and it was an awkward moment. “All of you are Christians here, just because the kind of church I go to play instruments does not mean it is not Christian church. For people who go to church I expected better behaviour from you concerning the things of God. You are all older than me and I think you guys need to grow up. Now let’s finish this assignment.” Well everyone finished laughing and continued with the assignment. She was not happy and yes, she did not defend that church, she did so in her mind. Now the whole thing brought questions to her being quiet. Was she ashamed of the kind of church she went or was she ashamed of Christianity as a whole? They were all Christians, but she was the only one who was serious about Christianity and not just church going.

See you in the next story.

From me to you,

Stay loving, stay loved. Stay blessing, stay blessed. God bless you all.

Dream on work not is fantasy

This is my first post on the #Allthingscreative category. Hope you enjoy it.

Dream on work not is fantasy

It sucks to dream,
Just for none of it to come true.
Smiling alone as the dream goes on.
Making plans in the mind,
Forgetting the mind is not reality.
Dreaming all the days your life,
None of them coming true.
In your mind there is always a masterpiece you see,
In reality you cannot even touch it with your fingers.
Watching the masterpiece establish in the mind,
Working not and none of it coming true.
Everyday you live,
With an untold story in your head.

Monday motivation

I cry do not worry. I sleep on a wet pillow do not worry. I am in pain, do not come and cry with me. For the me you see with tears going down my cheeks, it is not a me who needs sympathy. But the me you see with tears going down my checks, is a me who got burned. So I do not cry for pain that need sympathy I cry for pain of playing with fire and getting burned. The pain is one that need you to come and say, yes you got burned now you need to stand up and keep moving foward. Only the dead fall and don’t get back up. Though the burns may be painful wounds that will turn into scars, you wipe your tears off and continue on your journey. Tears never sorted out the problem, they only delayed dealing with it. In life you either face the bull by the horns or it trample on you. It is painful to pull yourself together but tears are wiped off and life goes on. Yes support is needed, after all, as iron sharpen another, so is human to another. We work together to overcome yet we need not get comfortable in crying that lead us nowhere. We get burned from our irresponsibility, all we need to do is take responsibility and fix things, not crying.

Who is He?

Who is He?
That teach in authority.
That walk dressed in humbleness.
Isn’t He a King of kings?
Wearing the clothes of the poor.
He actions are miracles,
Backed by the power of the most high.
He dry a fig tree by words,
He heals the sick,
His blood is so powerful, it saves even the worst of sinners.
Who is He?
That He climb a donkey and all bow to it.
He is not wearing a purple robe,
Yet He is addressed as a King.
Creation obey Him,
The enemy is cruel but can’t touch Him.
Is He that cannot be tamed.
He is son but the father of many.
A good shepherd.
Who is He?
Christ Jesus, the Son of men.

Have a good sunday.

Word of the day: JOHN 1: 45-46

“45Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. (O-KJV)”

When I read this scripture it quickly reminded me that indeed what people say is not what God says about you. Nathanael did not believe that something great could come out of Nazareth. And I am sure many of you can agree that there were some people in your life who have made a conclusion that in your family, nobody goes to university, nobody gets a well paid job, infact nobody ends anywhere in your family basing it on the past patterns in your family. But these scripture remind us that we are all unique and God has created each of us differently and with a different purpose, yet it will be up to you to live up to that purpose. Never ever believe what people say about you, rather what God says. Many times we miss out on the great things we have to achieve because we believe we do not qualify not because we do not qualify but just because our friends said we would not make it. Focus on what God says and all will be well with you. After all it is not human beings who created us, so why take their word on our life than that of the Creator. Jesus was great, is great and is to be great forever. You and I are great as well, we just need to focus on what God does in our lives than what people say about us.

From me to you,

Stay loving, stay loved. Stay blessing, stay blessed. God bless you all.

It has been long since I have posted on the blog. The University network was gone because something had crushed. My phone is not doing me justice when it comes to login into my blog and so I can’t post from there. I simply rely on this computer lab. Was just writing a test today. I am feeling crazy.

word of the day

This is my second post for word of the day.

Many of us we know we would not accept to die for others because even we want to live. Let me actually put it right, we do not want to die for someone who does not do right by us, someone who wrong us. We would rather stay away from such a person because they cause us pain. But God still loved us enough to give us his one and only son to die for us even when we are wronging Him. Such love does not exist, where someone die for yoy even thoufh you hurt them yet Christ Jesus did. No matter what pain you may be going through, just know God loves you so so much that His love never changes.

“Romans 8 verse 8-And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. (NLT)”

This scripture assures us that His love stay no matter what.

From me to you,

Stay loving, stay loved. Stay blessing, stay blessed. God bless you all.
